My friend, trombonist Massimo La Rosa commissioned me to make him an arrangement of the Intermezzo for trombone and piano for his second album Sempre Espressivo. Since 2024 is the year of Puccini's 100th anniversary of his death, I made an arrangement of the Intermezzo for cello and piano. I thinned out the piano part in places and revoiced some passages.
