While Popper's Op. 33 Tarantella is a staple of many cellists' repertoire, Tarantella No. 2 gets neglected. Tarantella No. 2 is a witty and fun piece, representative of Popper's later style. It is harmonically adventuresome, much in the vein of Im Walde and Jagdstuck. Our urtext edition is based on the Rahter Edition. Plate 2551.
