For the first time since their publication, David Popper's Concert-Etudes, Op. 55 and 3 Pieces, Op. 64 have been unified into one volume, conveniently available as a set.
While Spinnlied (Spinning Song) and Wie einst in schöner'n Tagen (Fond Recollections) are mainstays in the cello repertoire, our new urtext edition also contains the highly sought after Jagdstuck (Hunting Song popularized by Daniil Shafran) and rarely played Tarantella No. 3. Wiegenlied (popularized by Janos Starker) is dedicated to Popper's wife Olga. The five pieces in this collection may be played as a suite or separately.
