Bizet - Melodrama and Sicilienne from L'Arlesienne (Transcribed for Cello and Piano)

Bizet’s Mélodrame and Sicilienne from L’Arlésienne are two expressive character pieces that transfer beautifully to the cello. The Mélodrame is familiar from the middle section of the L’Arlésienne Suite No. 1 Overture, where the melody is played by solo saxophone. The Sicilienne appears as the contrasting middle section of the Carillon.
