Dvořák’s nostalgic Romantic Pieces are now available for cello and piano. They may be performed as a complete set or separately as individual encore pieces.
The arranger has retained the original piano part, including Dvořák’s original markings. The pieces have also been given Dvořák’s own titles from Op. 75a, his arrangement of the work for string trio: Cavatina, Capriccio, Romance, and Elegie, respectively.
These pieces have a strong kinship with the shorter character works of Schubert and Schumann, combining lyrical intimacy with a distinctly Romantic expressive world.
