Haydn's C-major Cello Concerto has become a staple in the cellists' repertoire since its recent discovery in 1961. We hope that our edition of the solo part will shine a light on what is included in the discovered manuscript without needing to purchase an expensive critical commentary. Haydn's C-major Cello Concerto has become a staple in the cellists' repertoire since its recent discovery in 1961. We hope that our edition of the solo part will shine a light on what is included in the discovered manuscript without needing to purchase an expensive critical commentary. All changes have been footnoted. Editorial ties and accidentals were inserted in places where we felt were necessary. The cadenzas in the first and second movements are printed as they appear in the manuscript, at the end of the respective movements.
